PRESENTATION
“Wake
youthful impressions upon arriving at the field” is the inscription that we can read in the beginning of the first movement of Beethoven's the sixth symphony, with the epithet of The Pastoral; in the the remaining four we can read the same type of program beyond time orientation: brief sentences, pastoris phrases, fresh and descriptive of the country life. This master piece of musical narration, probably the first symphony poem written and surprisingly contemporary of the fifth symphony, work of singular weight and seriousness in the tragic key of C minor. In the F major one, The Pastoral Symphony or Memory of Life in the Country, you can feel a genuine countryside spirit, maybe subjective or suggestible by the score program, yet, undoubtedly overflowing of purity and freshness that we feel by listen to its harmonies and rhythms, listening to the green range of emotions that we found along the five tempos. The great master Beethoven, titanic and transgressive soul, nineteenth-century
magician of the art of sound left us this wonderfull descriptive music where the nature recovers its first and transcendent reality, no more than our own home, the real man home. May this symphony written just over two centuries illuminate the obscure way that mankind seems to be following…
